Branding Session with Hair by Madi Mahar


Some sessions leave you feeling energized, inspired, and reminded just how powerful it is to capture someone fully in their element. Madi’s branding session at Forma Photo Studio in Kalispell MT was one of those days.


Madi is the creative force behind Hair by Madi Mahar (& my soon-to-be sister-in-law!), and from the moment we walked into the studio, her bright, magnetic personality filled the space. We shot at Forma Photo Studio on Main Street using both clean white and fresh green backdrops, creating a versatile mix that felt modern, elevated, and perfectly aligned with her brand.


She showed up in the cutest Madi fit — effortlessly stylish and so her. We highlighted confidence and creativity, making it easy to capture images that felt authentic to who she is both as a stylist and a person.


This session was all about fun and freedom. We played music, tried out playful poses, and laughed our way through the shoot — the kind of environment where genuine expressions come naturally. That energy translated beautifully into the photos, giving us a collection that feels lively, welcoming, and full of personality.


In addition to lifestyle portraits, we also captured product images to round out her branding gallery. These shots add depth to her visual story, showcasing not only who Madi is but also the professional side of what she does best. The final collection feels like the perfect balance of polished and playful — just like her brand.


Madi is truly one of those people who light up a room. She’s incredibly personable, deeply passionate about her craft, and always striving to grow into the best version of herself.
